From fresh by-products to high-quality feed ingredients


Our products are produced by acid hydrolysis of fresh by-products and cuttings from farmed salmon slaughtered for human consumption. During the acid hydrolysis enzymes, naturally present in the fish tissue, hydrolyses the protein into low-molecular peptides and free amino acids.

Once the hydrolysis process has completed, the enzyme activity is stopped by heat treatment. Most of the salmon oil is separated and processed into H-oil®. The protein portion is evaporated and processed into H-pro®.
